Weather, crowds, school holidays and cost all shape the ideal departure month. Here is how the year compares.
Umrah can be performed at any time of the year, which is a blessing and also a decision to make. The right month depends on what matters most to you: comfort, quiet, cost or convenience.
The cooler months from November through February are the most comfortable for walking between the holy sites, particularly for elderly pilgrims and families with young children. Demand is higher, so booking early is worthwhile.
Ramadan carries immense reward, and the atmosphere in the Haramain is unlike any other time of year. It is also the busiest and most costly period, and the days of fasting combined with long nights of worship demand real physical preparation.
The months following Hajj tend to be quieter. Pilgrims who value space around the Kaaba and shorter queues often find this period the most spiritually settled, even though the weather is warmer.
School holidays shape many family decisions in Kenya, and our April, August and December departures are planned with that in mind.
If you are unsure, speak with our coordinators. We will look at your dates, your budget and who is travelling with you, and recommend the departure that fits.
