Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions our pilgrims ask most often, from visas and payments to what to pack.
Booking
How do I book a package with Al Hajun?
Submit a booking request through the website or call either of our offices. A coordinator will then contact you to confirm availability, documentation and payment arrangements. Your place is secured once the deposit is received and we issue a written confirmation with your reference number.
How far in advance should I book?
For Umrah we recommend booking at least two months before departure, and considerably earlier for popular periods such as Ramadan and school holidays. Hajj places are limited and allocated well in advance, so register your interest as early as possible.
Can you arrange a private or family departure?
Yes. We arrange private family departures and tailored group trips for schools, mosques and community organisations, with customised itineraries and dates that suit you.
Payments
What is Lipa Mdogo Mdogo?
Lipa Mdogo Mdogo is our installment payment plan. It lets you secure your place with a deposit and pay the balance across an agreed schedule before departure, making the journey more accessible without any hidden charges.
What is included in the package price?
Our packages typically include return flights, visa processing, hotel accommodation close to the Haramain, airport and intercity transfers, daily breakfast, Ziyarat visits and guidance from experienced coordinators and scholars. The exact inclusions are listed on each package page.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellation charges depend on how close to departure the cancellation is made and on the terms of our airline and hotel partners. Contact us as early as possible and we will explain exactly what applies to your booking.
Visa and Documents
Do you handle the visa application?
Yes. We prepare, submit and follow up your pilgrimage visa application on your behalf, and we review your documents before submission so nothing is missing. Visa issuance remains at the discretion of the Saudi authorities.
How long must my passport be valid?
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel date. You will also need recent passport photographs taken against a white background.
Which vaccinations do I need?
A valid meningitis vaccination certificate is required for entry. We advise you on current requirements ahead of departure, as they can change from season to season.
During the Journey
Will someone accompany our group?
Yes. Experienced coordinators and knowledgeable scholars travel with every group, managing logistics and providing spiritual guidance through each rite from arrival until departure.
How close are the hotels to the Haramain?
We select hotels for cleanliness, comfort and above all their walking distance to the Haramain. The specific hotel and its distance are confirmed for each departure before you travel.
What if I need help while I am there?
Support is available before, during and after the journey. Your coordinator travels with the group and remains reachable throughout, and our offices in Mombasa and Nairobi provide backup at any hour.
